Did you keep track of the movies you watched in 2024? Was there a star or movie you discovered that you can't live without now? Let me know in the comments!
This breakdown is so much fun! I should really keep track of my rewatches. I was really into foreign films this here, so what were the four that you watched?
ReplyDeleteGlad you enjoyed it! The rewatch was Victoria in Dover starring Romy Schneider. If you haven't seen any of her movies I love all the Sissi films. They're on Tubi. The other three were Japanese, two directed by Ozu - "Early Spring" and 'Good Morning" - and my first non-Ozu Japanese movie "The Makioka Sisters" (1983). I really liked all of them! I started one on tubi called "Miss Oyu" but forgot to finish it. I also watched a ton of British movies this year. What foreign films did you watch?
DeleteArizona was on one of my top ten lists a few years ago. Such an unusual and intriguing movie! Lots of layers to it -- very rewarding to rewatch. Not quite as rewarding as 3:10 to Yuma, though, imho. So excited to see that on your list here too! AND The Sheepman, because nobody but me seems to find that movie funny and awesome, and yeah, I am glad to find someone else who appreciates it.
ReplyDelete3:10 to Yuma was one of those movies where I was ready to watch it again right after it finished. So. Good. I had to immediately order myself a copy. In my December post I linked your 2015 articles on it. I really enjoyed reading them! The Sheepman is so funny! I actually pulled it out for a rewatch.
