This month I finally got around to watching The Three Faces of Eve as well as some Sidney Poitier films. Prior to this month I had only seen him in Lilies of the Field, The Defiant Ones, the last half of Duel at Diablo (on tv - really want to see the first half), and the very beginning of Paris Blues. He's such an incredible actor and I so I took advantage of watching several of his films while he was Star of the Month on TCM.

Least Favorite Movie: Definitely Love is a Headache. Franchot Tone WAY overacted. Snowball Express was a little too corny for me. The Belle of New York didn't have much of a story line but I wanted to watch it for Vera-Ellen. The cast of Looking for Love had absolutely NO chemistry.
Favorite Movie: So I've suddenly become a Susan Hayward fan lol. I've seen some of her later movies but she never did anything for me but this month I watched two noirs and was really loving her! And of course I was blown away by all the Sidney Poitier films I watched as well as 12 Angry Men. I don't do horror movies but A Quiet Place wasn't as scary as I thought it would be. Emily Blunt is my favorite modern actress and I love the chemistry between her and her real life & on-screen husband, John Krasinski.
You had a very interesting month. I started to watch Love is a Headache, but something told me it wasn't worth sticking around.
ReplyDeleteI was watching it with my aunt, otherwise I would have stopped it too - or never even started it ;)
DeleteI absolutely love Support Your Local Sheriff, but wasn't really a fan of Support Your Local Gunfighter. Maybe that's because I've only seen bits of it once and would like it better if I saw it more.
ReplyDeleteMy mom always told me it wasn't very good, so I had low expectations for it. If you compare it to Sheriff then it's not great but if you don't it's not bad!
