The Sound of Music: 50 Years

The Sound of Music (1965) is a movie that needs no introduction. If you haven't seen it then something is wrong with you!

This year The Sound of Music turns 50. It is one of the most iconic films of all time along with Gone With the Wind (both have dresses made from curtains!) and The Wizard of Oz. I thought I would take a closer look over the next few days at the costumes (which were recently auctioned off for monumental sums), the movie locations in Salzburg, Austria and some behind-the-scenes photos and video clips. Here are some paper dolls to look at while you're waiting for the rest of my posts.

  1. I love the paper dolls! The outfits look exactly like the costumes from the movie...actually a rare thing, it seems, for movie-based paper dolls. Looking very much forward to more Sound of Music info! :-)

And, that meme is extremely hilarious! :D
