Great list! Btw, I've nominated you for a Liebster Award! Congrats! :) Click on the link for more informations https://thewonderfulworldofcinema.wordpress.com/2015/12/24/a-third-liebster-award-for-the-wonderful-world-of-cinema/
My whole family are/is (?) John Wayne fans!!! I can't remember a time in my life BEFORE John Wayne! Lauren Bacall is a more recent discovery - about three years ago. She's amazing in To Have and Have Not!
So cool! My dad and I are major JW fans. My mom always said that if we *had* to watch a western or a war movie, could it please be a John Wayne one? There was sure to be a romance if he was in it. My brother is probably kind of a defacto fan.
I first saw Lauren Bacall in To Have and Have Not and The Big Sleep in my late teens. Been a fan ever since, moreso of late.
Thats me watching movie too! See Michael Caine, Leonardo De Caprio, Jack Nicholson... but add find obscure role of same actor and enter for blogathon with most obscure choice ever (see Jack Lemmon in Airport 77)
Hi! I feel completely identified with you! And a little less weird! When I like something, it obsesses me and I want to know everything, EVERYTHING!
A few years ago it was Sterling Hayden, of whom I saw all his films, interviews, biographies, read his 2 books... I think I am the greatest expert on Mr Hayden in Spain. I even learned French just to be able to read a book about him, only available in this language!
Now I added Robert Ryan to my interests, and in a few weeks I have seen 50 of his movies and I am reading the 2 only books I have find out about him! I also love William Powell, Myrna Loy, Bogart, Bacall, Fredric March, and an endless list that I think you will share too, for sure!

So glad to know you!!!!
Oh wow! That’s impressive that you learned a language to read a book on him!!
DeleteI just recently bought a biography on Ryan that I had checked out before from the library at the height of my obsession. Isn’t he amazing!!
I recently watched a couple Fredric March films where he gave great performances.
So glad you found my blog! :)
